How To use Neuro-Linguistic Programming to be More Happy

There are million ways to be happy.

We all pursue happiness frenetically.

And like in Will Smith‘s movie, we know it’s not always an easy road to find our way to true happiness.

However, if you know how to use Neuro-Linguistic Programming to be more happy, you have very high chances to be successful.



Why are you looking for Happiness?

Every single day, we are confronted with happiness and success on social medias or on tv.

On the contrary in real life, we are usually surrounded by stress and anxiety, in particular at work, but also at home.

Subsequently, you will suffer a huge loss of self confidence.

With this in mind, if today you lost your confidence, your motivation, or if you fight depression, DO NOT GIVE UP.

By saying science, I am referring to Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

You might have already heard of it, but for those who didn’t –
NLP is a unique approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the 1970s.




Facts behind the Science

There is a connection between neurological processes, language and behavioral patterns learned through experience.

These can also be changed in order to achieve specific goals in life.

Often in only a SINGLE session, NLP can treat problems like phobias, depression, psychosomatic illnesses, allergies and more.

As a master practitioner in NLP, and as an entrepreneur, I try many of those technics myself in order to reach the level of happiness I need.
And now I will share five of them, which will boost you, and will give you this happiness feeling you are looking for!

All NLP’s technics can be powerful and will certainly train the power of your brain.

It is not only about how to feel happy, but also about being more successful and to achieve very specific goals.

1. To Be Happy, You Need To Think You Are Happy

This sounds very abstract, so let me rephrase it.

Our mind is divided in two big parts:

  1. The conscious part, which is simply speaking your awareness.
    Everything you are doing when you are awake and aware, like reading this post right now.
  2. The subconscious part, which is the part of your brain doing everything else. For example, we are driving while talking to out friend sitting next to us.Our conscious is talking while our subconscious is driving.
    You are also breathing now (subconscious) while reading (conscious), maybe consciously since I mentioned it!

The subconscious is 90% of our mind compared to 10% only for the conscious side.



Another fun fact is, the subconscious doesn’t understand the difference between a thought and reality.

Meaning, everything we think about is stored equally and has the same impact.

A thought, positive or negative, is reality to our subconscious, hence it tends to happen.

This is why it is vital to feed your subconscious with only positive thoughts.

If you tell yourself every day few times a day you are happy, your subconscious will store it as a fact. And day to day, you’ll see your mood changing and slowly slowly you will feel more happy.



2. Imagination Is The Key To Happiness

Imagination is Man first faculty.
Meaning, a person can imagine before even starting to learn, memorize, see, hear or talk.

It is our most developed skill, therefore our strongest.

Our imagination never stops.

For instance, right now, you are probably already picturing yourself happy in a soon future.

This is why you are reading this post, to teach yourself how to be more happy, isn’t it?




While you are dreaming, it is actually your imagination which creates a new world using the data your subconscious collected while you were awake.

As much as you can, and as many times as you can - imagine yourself happy.

Next time your neighbor says:
‘Hey, you think it’s going to be raining tomorrow?’

You shall answer, ‘Sun or rain, either way tomorrow I will be happy.’

3. Imagination Is Stronger Than Will

If there had to be a fight between will and imagination, imagination would win it EASILY.

If you want to be happy, but you can’t imagine a future where you would be blessed with happiness, then it’s very unlikely to happen.

You might have tried this diet many times before to lose those extra pounds, but always gave up. This is exactly why.

You never imagined how you would actually look like, you never pictured it, you never made it look so real it couldn’t be any other way.
Then your will lost the fight.

This goes the same with happiness.

4. One + One = Hundreds

Imagination would always win any fight in your subconscious.

When will and imagination are in growth, they add up and MULTIPLY exponentially.

Yes, you read well.

Let’s take Cristiano Ronaldo as an example. Many people will find him arrogant.

Why is it?

Well, he has always imagined himself as the best footballer on earth, but he also wanted it like nobody else did (he had the will).

With about 45 trophies on his shelf, who dares saying it is not possible?

Get that will and imagination working together for a while, and happiness will be coming right your way.



5. You are the leader

Sometimes you might think your imagination is wandering without you being able to control it, but it isn’t true at all. This is just another thought you created.
